ACS was founded in 1970 by Drs. Buhl and Lois Cummings as a non-denominational, college preparatory Christian school. ACS seeks to work hand in hand with families concerning the mental, physical, social, and spiritual development of their most priceless possession, their children. The objective of ACS is to equip each young person with a Christian world-view, the finest academic training available, and the scriptural character traits necessary for each student to reach his/her maximum potential in life, for the glory of God.
“Quality Education in a Christian Atmosphere” is the motto of ACS, which is accredited by the Georgia Accrediting Commission and a member of the Georgia Association of Christian Schools, the American Association of Christian Schools, and the Georgia High School Association. Graduates are able to excel at the college of their choice and in careers due to the college prep, college prep advanced, and Advanced Placement academic tracks offered at ACS. The school is also known as the “opportunity place.” ACS offers a wide variety of sports (football, softball, volleyball, cross country, basketball, wrestling, baseball, tennis, and track) as well as extracurricular activities such as drama, band, chorus, Bible quiz, cheerleading, and speech.

Cornerstone Preschool exists to provide a safe, child-centered atmosphere based on excellence in care, age-appropriate academics, and Christian nurture. We offer a full-time daycare and preschool for children six weeks through K-4 using ABEKA curriculum for children two and older. It includes academic training as well as solid Bible instruction. In our K-4 program, an intensive phonics program gives a solid foundation for reading.
