The year was 1836. Texas declared its independence from Mexico in the Battle of the Alamo. Andrew Jackson was our President, and a group of believers inspired by God came together to form Cross Roads Baptist Church here in Carnesville, Georgia.
Over the last 164 years, Cross Roads Baptist Church has been blessed with a rich heritage of faithful service to the Lord in our community.
God has blessed us richly in the past; what about the present? In addition to our regular Sunday and Wednesday evening activities, our “Pairs ’n Spares” fellowship is the most active senior adult group in this area providing a valuable ministry of fellowship to fellow seniors as well as the homebound. In fact, Cross Roads Baptist Church is the church in Franklin County for senior adults and for young people who want to be a part of shaping a church’s future.
As a small church with a family atmosphere, young adults find mentors and worthy role models for their children. Our future rests in the hands of godly young adults who are willing to join our pastor to be leaders in molding a promising future.
