Kingdom building. That is what drives us here at Lavonia First Baptist Church. From the growing number of infants to the very active senior adults and everyone in between, our vision is for everyone to be prepared, be involved and bring people. There are many ways that is being accomplished. In response to the growing and diverse community, we strive for excellence in both Sunday morning traditional and Sunday evening contemporary services. Wednesday nights offer Bible studies, student ministries, children’s ministries, adult choir practice and a great supper before all of this even starts. Our church family also ministers throughout the county with Habitat for Humanity, Heart Ministries, and detention center ministries. Our ministry to the growing Hispanic community includes weekly Bible studies, recreation, ESL and the launch of a new Hispanic church in June 2004. First Baptist partners with numerous churches in Mexico, sending various mission teams to build churches and train leaders.
